AMPP Launches CCUS Course on Materials Selection and Corrosion Control for CO2 Pipelines and Storage
pgjonline.comAMPP has launched a new online course on materials selection and corrosion control for carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) infrastructure. The four-hour eCourse is based on AMPP SP21632-2025 and covers CO2 transport and injection systems, degradation mechanisms, corrosion control, integrity risk management, and monitoring and inspection. It is designed for corrosion engineers, materials engineers, asset integrity managers, pipeline design engineers, and regulatory personnel. The course also includes real-world field perspectives and offers four Professional Development Hours (PDHs). Participants get one year of access and can complete the training at their own pace. No prior training is required, though a technical background and basic corrosion knowledge are recommended. The launch reflects broader AMPP work on standards for CCUS, alternative fuels, and energy storage.
