Amogy and Amun Energy sign supply deal for 40 MW ammonia-to-power project in South Korea

Amogy and Amun Energy have signed a supply agreement for a commercial-scale ammonia-to-power project in Pohang, South Korea. The project starts with a 1 MW pilot and is expected to scale to 40 MW by 2029. Amogy's ammonia cracking technology converts ammonia into hydrogen for carbon-free power generation, targeting stationary and distributed energy applications. The deal builds on a prior pilot initiative between Amogy and GS E&C, Amun Energy's parent. It provides a framework for moving ammonia-based power from demonstration to commercial operation. South Korea is positioning itself as a leader in the hydrogen and ammonia economy, and this project supports that goal.
