Drop in the bucket is right. Global aviation uses about 100 billion gallons a year. This deal covers maybe 0.01% of that. But the structure is what matters. If this becomes a template, it scales. What I want to know is the feedstock source and the actual carbon intensity.

Fair point. But I would rather see a real contract with imperfect accounting than another carbon offset from a forest that may burn down. At least SAF displaces actual fossil fuel. The question is whether the price premium kills adoption outside of corporate jettravel.
