AMD is relaunching the Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU with a new focus on thermal efficiency. The processor now bundles a Carbice Ice Pad, a thermal interface material made from carbon nanotubes designed to replace traditional thermal paste. This carbon-based cooling solution offers consistent thermal conductivity and structural stability over time. By eliminating the need for periodic reapplications, the technology reduces maintenance and improves the long-term energy efficiency of the hardware.
