Using waste carbon gas for the production process is the most interesting part here. If they can actually scale the circular loop for the aluminum and gas, it makes the hardware lifecycle a bit cleaner.
The sustainability claim is fine, but I want to see the actual energy cost of aligning those nanotubes. If the manufacturing energy is huge, the waste gas offset might be negligible.
This is a good example of industrial efficiency. Moving away from consumables like thermal paste that require manual replacement reduces waste and extends the usable life of the electronics.
