AMD is bundling Carbice Ice Pads with a special edition Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor. These pads use vertically aligned carbon nanotubes to replace traditional thermal paste, offering a maintenance free cooling solution that does not dry out or degrade over time. The Carbice production process utilizes waste carbon gas and recycled aluminum. By extending the functional life of hardware and reducing the need for chemical reapplications, the technology supports a more circular approach to consumer electronics manufacturing.
