Amazon's 2025 sustainability report shows its absolute emissions rose 16 percent to 80.9 million tonnes, surpassing New Zealand's national emissions. The company blames AI-driven data center expansion for the increase, with purchased electricity emissions up 34 percent. Supply chain emissions now account for 76 percent of the total, up 20 percent year over year.
