ALUMINIUM 2026 Düsseldorf: recycling, low-carbon production, and demand from EVs to data centres
alcircle.comALUMINIUM 2026 opens in Düsseldorf from October 6-8 with more than 800 exhibitors and a programme centred on recycling, energy costs, and where aluminium demand comes from next. The event lands as European producers face high power prices, import competition, and tighter climate rules, and as aluminium demand grows for electric vehicles, grid infrastructure, and data centres. Recycling gets a dedicated Sustainability and Recycling Conference with CRU, plus an exhibition area in Halls 5 and 6. Speakers from Novelis, Hydro, Speira, Airbus Defence and Space, and CRU are scheduled, and the new ALUMINIUM Innovation Awards will cover low-carbon manufacturing and smart production. One project worth watching is Arctial's proposed 600,000-tonne-per-year primary smelter in Finland, planned to run on fossil-free electricity, which would be the first new European smelter in over three decades.
