Devon based clean tech company Altilium has secured government funding through the UK's 452 million pound Battery Innovation Programme to develop a closed loop supply chain for battery materials. The REMADE project partners with Nyobolt, Talga, and an unnamed global automaker to build a UK based recycling system for low carbon battery production. The funding amount was not disclosed. This project targets a real bottleneck in the EV transition: securing domestic supply of critical battery materials without relying on virgin mining.
