Jet Technologies has partnered with Living Ink Technologies to bring algae-based black pigments to Australia. This bio-based ink serves as a drop-in replacement for traditional carbon black, which is typically derived from fossil fuels, allowing printers to reduce their carbon footprint without upgrading equipment. Living Ink claims its production process is carbon negative by sequestering more carbon than it emits. The technology is already used by global brands like Nike and Patagonia and is now expanding into Australian packaging, labels, and commercial print sectors.
