The Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition project is expanding its efforts in India to reduce building emissions. By partnering with the India Smart Grid Forum, the initiative aims to scale the adoption of low-carbon building standards across Kerala, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Key progress includes the creation of a buildings registry and the assessment of over 300 structures using a specialized emission tool. The project is now targeting 60 specific buildings for energy efficient cooling retrofits and has trained thousands of professionals to implement these green standards.
