Carbon technology company Airco has launched a new manufacturing facility in New Britain, Pennsylvania. The site focuses on the production of the Mad Fuel system, a containerized platform that creates synthetic drop-in fuels using electricity, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Backed by the US Department of Defense and AFWERX, the technology aims to decentralize fuel production for military jets and ground vehicles. The system can utilize CO2 from direct air capture or point sources and is compatible with various renewable energy inputs.
