Air Products is implementing a traffic mitigation strategy for the construction of its Louisiana Clean Energy Complex. To reduce road congestion in Ascension Parish, the company will use the Lamar Dixon Expo Center as a staging area, shuttling up to 2,000 workers to the site via buses. The project focuses on producing low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia while capturing and storing millions of tons of carbon dioxide underground. While the initial cost was estimated at 4.5 billion dollars, recent disclosures suggest the final investment may be significantly higher.
