Air Liquide and OXEA have renewed a 12 year supply agreement for syngas and hydrogen at the Ruhrchemie Industrial Park in Oberhausen. As part of the deal, Air Liquide will invest over 20 million euros to modernize its Partial Oxidation plant to improve reliability and efficiency. The partnership emphasizes industrial decarbonization through a carbon capture and liquefaction system integrated into the production unit. This system has reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 50% since 2021, with the captured carbon repurposed for the food and beverage industry.
