Agreena, a Danish climate tech company, announced its AgreenaCarbon Project earned a BBB ex post BeZero Carbon Rating after issuing its first Verified Carbon Units in September 2025 under Verra's VCS. The rating confirms the project's soil carbon credits deliver the claimed climate impact, matching earlier ex ante expectations. BeZero's scale runs from AAA to D, and a BBB rating means strong confidence that each credit represents one metric ton of CO2e removed or avoided. This is one of the top five ex post BeZero-rated soil carbon projects globally. Independent ratings like this matter because corporate buyers increasingly demand proof that credits are real, not just promises. The project uses Verra methodology VM0042 and was audited before issuance. For the voluntary carbon market, this kind of verified track record helps separate projects with actual results from those still relying on projections.
