Ag Carbon Transparent: New Standards for Farm Carbon Contracts

To solve this, the Ag Data Transparent organization has launched Ag Carbon Transparent, a verification tool designed to ensure carbon program providers follow core transparency principles. The initiative focuses on critical areas such as ownership of environmental assets, measurement and verification protocols, and clear termination clauses. By vetting providers against a set of ten rigorous questions, the program helps farmers identify legitimate opportunities for sequestering carbon and improving soil health.
