Afrox has entered a ten year power purchase agreement with Discovery Green to supply renewable electricity to its air separation unit in Cape Town. Starting in April 2028, the deal will provide 28 GWh of annual energy from a mix of wind and solar assets across South Africa. The transition is expected to cut Afrox's operational carbon emissions by 25,000 tons of CO2 equivalent per year. The agreement uses a diversified portfolio of projects, including the Overberg Wind Farm and Tournee and Notsi Solar Farms, to ensure a stable power supply for industrial operations.
