The Africa Climate Implementation Summit (ACIS) launches alongside COP31 in Antalya, Turkey on November 13, with the goal of moving African climate projects from pledge to funding. Organizers will present Lagos State's estimated $25 billion to $50 billion climate investment pipeline, covering more than 300 projects in renewable energy, climate-resilient infrastructure, and sustainable development. The summit also covers carbon markets and high-integrity carbon assets as a financing route for African projects, plus a forthcoming report from The Climate Group on corporate renewable energy procurement in Sub-Saharan Africa. A Deal Room and Lagos Climate Investment Day are meant to connect project developers directly with investors and financiers. This is an announcement of intent rather than a committed fund, so the useful follow-up is whether specific projects and capital partners actually emerge after COP31.
