ADERCO 2055G+ Program: Performance Monitoring from Emissions Reduction to Carbon Credits for Ships
hellenicshippingnews.comADERCO has launched the 2055G+ program, which connects fuel treatment technology with verified emissions data and certified carbon credits. The program targets ship owners, managers, and charterers running on conventional marine fuels, addressing IMO CII and EU ETS requirements while providing financial returns through voluntary carbon credits issued by Gold Standard. Based on over 100 ships already enrolled, fuel savings range from 2% to 5%, with class society verified results including a 4.84% reduction on a reefer vessel and 3.25% on a capesize bulk carrier. The process involves a six-month trial of the 2055G fuel additive after establishing a baseline, then monitoring and reporting via Adi Terra to generate carbon credits from verified CO2 reductions.
