Adani Enterprises partners with French firm Dioxycle to produce low-carbon chemicals in India using captured CO2 and renewable power

Adani Enterprises has partnered with French clean-tech company Dioxycle to build a pilot plant in India that will produce formic acid from captured carbon dioxide and renewable electricity. The project, located at an Adani Group site, aims to demonstrate that industrial chemicals can be made without fossil fuel feedstocks. If the pilot succeeds, the companies plan to scale up commercial production and expand into other chemicals used in energy, packaging, and manufacturing. This partnership marks Adani's entry into low-carbon chemicals, building on its existing renewable energy and infrastructure portfolio. The companies say the collaboration reflects growing India-Europe cooperation in clean technology as manufacturers look for lower-carbon supply chains. The pilot will test whether carbon capture utilization can be cost effective at industrial scale in India, where renewable power costs have fallen sharply in recent years.
