Beyond emissions, the report flags serious safety risks from extreme heat. Six of the 16 stadiums face dangerous heat stress, with some exceeding FIFA's safety thresholds. The authors also highlight FIFA's sponsorship deal with oil giant Aramco, which they say adds nearly 30 million tCO2e in induced emissions.
