2 Sisters Food Group is investing £50 million to overhaul its poultry feed sourcing, aiming for a 70% reduction in feed emissions. The strategy focuses on replacing imported soy with British-grown beans, oilseed rape, and peas to lower Scope 3 emissions and reduce reliance on land-conversion imports. As part of its goal to reach net zero by 2035, the company is implementing stricter sourcing standards in South America and eliminating soyameal entirely at its Coupar Angus site by 2027. This shift supports both domestic food security and biodiversity protection.
